Published during the Jubilee of the Year 2000, this book represents in its entirety the greatest and most venerated Temple of Christianity, outwardly (the colonnade, the square, the facade, the outward perimeter, and the cupola) and inwardly, with the funeral monuments of the popes, the mosaics, the altars, the Bernini's canopy, and the Michelangelo's Pietà. Moreover, for the first time, the Vatican Caves with some spaces not accessible to the public are thoroughly exhibited. The spaces which are not accessible to the audience are the "Aula delle Benedizioni", the Sacristy, and the octagons of the second level. Inside Mirabilia Italiae, a book dedicated to the Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican.
