Housed in the medieval Palazzo Fontana and the Gesuati Monastery, the Archaeological Museum of Verona is adjacent to the city's Roman Theatre, which was rediscovered in the mid-18th century. In its spaces it preserves evidence from the Roman period of the city and the territory: statues, grave goods, decorative elements from the theatre and other monuments such as the Gavi Arch and the Arena. This volume accompanies the reader on an ideal tour of the museum and its rooms, offering a glimpse of life in Roman Verona through the exhibits.
